Port Edwards is proud to support Alexander Field. Built in 1929 it was the only "All Weather, All Way" airport in Wisconsin. Alexander Field was originally built by Nekoosa Edwards Paper Company to accommodate their new Ford Tri-Motor airplane. The Tri-Motor carried 12 passengers to Port Edwards to visit the paper manufacturing complex.
In 1959 the field was donated to a consortium of municipalities including Port Edwards. During it's first 80 years of operation, it has served as a general aviation airport, flight training school, an air force training base, a prisoner of war camp, a commercial aviation terminal, and a charter base operation.
Alexander Field serves a vital role in serving business planes that fly into the Central Wisconsin area to conduct their economic interests in the region.

Alexander Field boasts a 5500 ft. paved runway (2/20), a 3640 ft. paved runway (11/29), and a 2100 ft. turf runway (18/36). There are a number of hangars and tie downs. 100LL and JET-A fuel is available
Alexander Field is a full service airport that will serve your private or business needs.
